Detailed description of Warminsters Five Ponds Golf Club
Warminsters Five Ponds Golf Club is a Public 18 hole golf course located in Warminster, Pennsylvania.
The course was designed by Xenophon Hassenplug. Five Ponds opened for play in 1987.
True to its name, the course weaves through a series of five ponds that are deftly incorporated into the design. Five Ponds Golf Course is a hilly course with water hazards coming into play on ten holes. Some fairways are tree lined, and most are bordered with a thick heather-type rough. The average-sized greens are undulating, and their speeds are determined by the seasonal weather conditions. Since this course is located on some of the highest points in the region, the wind is often a factor.
Par for the course is 71. From the back tees the course plays to 6,760 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 5,430 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 15, a par-5 that plays to 555 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 17, a par-3 that plays to 165 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 8, a 455 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 18, a 350 yard par-4.

Five Ponds has always done well in keeping the course play ready. I play this course at least twice a month. As a single you can get on without much of a problem early in the morning. The staff is more than accommodating.

This is a well conditioned public golf course, the weekend rates are climbing every year with non returnable upfront money to have a steady tee time every week. I just feel in these times it's not right to be raising prices, especially to groups who have been loyal in the past, and are there every weekend.

I used to play this course several years ago but the starter and pro shop staff were a hassle to deal with so I stopped. Now they have a young staff that went out of their way to make us feel welcome. I will be back to play more often!!!!
